Kora Home AIDraft
Designing for families
A draft on designing Kora for households, not for a generic productivity app.
TODO: this is a draft. Replace the copy before treating it as published.
TODO: replace this draft before publishing. It is not a finished design essay.
A family is not a team with a backlog. People share a kitchen, a calendar, and a lot of small handoffs. A product for that life has to be easy to glance at, and easy to ignore when the day is already full.
What we try to protect
We try to protect three things while Kora is still taking shape.
- The plan should be shared, so it does not sit with one person.
- The interface should feel calm, closer to a note on the counter than a feed.
- What a household puts into Kora should be treated with care.
TODO: replace these principles with the language design and product actually use, and add real examples once they are approved.
